Pretty good I enjoyed this book for the most part. It seemed long though, I'm not sure why. There was great world and character building. The targeted audience is a little unclear. While they are college students, it feels more like high school.The ending sure threw me for a loop though! I can't wait to see what's next!magical danger strict rules and deadly magic make for an interesting time at a new school for Sophie. It's bad enough that she knows nothing about how to use her magic, but she is also thrown head first in to danger as the possible focus of a prophecy. Sophie and her friends are forced into a tournament of life and death that could expose Sophie's biggest secret. Very enjoyable and attention grabbing, there is no adult content but a few things are talked about. There is violence and death as well as one of Sophie's friends is gay. I would say 15-16+ on age appropriate.Harry Potter + Hunger Games awesomeness Loved! Characters are great, loved the length of the book, and can't wait for the next one! Characters are great, sexy, and the storyline kept me on my toes! (That tournament!) can't can't wait!For the authors:I stand by 5 stars, but some downfalls: their community. I had a hard time imagining anyone wanting to be a part of their community magic or not. Besides sacrificing their children to "prove their worth" *no matter their skill level*, everyone at the school seems well, mean. I get the separation amoungst the houses out of fear, but the severe lack of support with anyone, that school I would've ran away from (she can't given her circumstances).Also, a little humorous downfall : blue balls. I want to read about some steam! Young adult has swearing because that's what young adults do, and they do other stuff too! Don't leave me high and dry ladies!!Love your book!!!!! :-)
